Channing Tatum Unwrapped Partners with BuzzMedia...The Cinderella Story Continues

Since I started this site in 2007, CTU has had more red letter days than I can count. From Chan asking us to be his official site to visiting the set of 'Fighting', getting a Teen Choice Award nomination, being recognized in Italian Vogue and attending press junkets and premieres for Chan's films, doing this site has been an amazing and surreal experience from practically day one, and I'm happily going to add today to that list. Here's why...

In January, we had a problem that most websites would love to have. We actually had too many visitors hit the site at one time. The increased traffic not only took down CTU, it also caused our hosting company enough heartburn that they *politely* asked us to find another home...and quickly.

My goal was to find a new, permanent home that could not only properly handle all of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's fans, but could also help CTU reach even more fans around the world.

I'm excited to announce that we've officially partnered with BuzzMedia, and as of last night, CTU is now safely sitting in our new home. I'm really proud of this next step in CTU's short, but eventful, history; 1) because it's amazing to see how much the site has grown in three short years and 2) because CTU has now joined a prestigious list of blogs that BuzzMedia has chosen to work with.

We are joining BuzzMedia's family of websites which include official sites for celebs like Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, and Nicole Richie, and celebrity news blogs like Just Jared, Celebuzz, and What Would Tyler Durden Do?. It's kind of the holy mecca for blogs, and I couldn't be more excited that they felt CTU belongs anywhere near that group.

What does this mean for Chan and Jenna's fans? We have lots of plans in the works, some of which, I will be sharing with you all in the very near future. Since our new home is able to handle all of the traffic, I'm am going to start using the Google blog less. From here on out, fans should make ChanningTatumUnwrapped.com your sole destination to get the latest news on our favorite couple (aka Chenna).

Mostly, this new step means the site will continue to grow, possibly faster than ever before, and I can sleep soundly at night with the knowledge that BuzzMedia is looking out for us and can keep us up and running when we encounter any inevitable traffic spikes.

I truly love everything about CTU, so I have to thank Chan, Jenna, Chan's sister Paige, and family for their support in this big move. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Both Chan and Jenna have been blessed with a fairytale life and could easily be selfish and keep it all to themselves. Instead, they share it wholeheartedly and without hesitation with their family, friends, and their fans. Honestly, I don't think I could ever thank them all enough for the opportunities they have given me, but I can promise to always work really hard to earn my keep.

I also have to thank all of you, from CTU readers who've been with me since day one to those who are just joining the family today. I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again...

CTU is what it is because of the support of the fans. Thank you so much, and I'm REALLY EXCITED about everything this new partnership will bring to Chan and Jenna's fans all around the world! HUGS to my CTU family!

NEWS FLASH: Jenna Dewan-Tatum Becomes a StarDoll Superstar

While Channing Tatum wraps up filming on his latest project (which is why he could not attend/present at this year's Oscars), wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum joined Academy Award® nominees, presenters, and some of the most well-known film stars in the world for the sold-out eighth annual "Night Before" party to benefit the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF).

It's the hottest pre-Academy Awards ticket and money raised at the event supports the extensive programs and services (residential retirement community and child-care center, health care, human services, financial assistance) that the MPTF provides to more than 60,000 members of the entertainment industry every year.

Hosted by MPTF chair Jeffrey Katzenberg, the event serves as the largest money-raiser for the fund, and was once again held at the historic Beverly Hills Hotel, where a huge crowd of celebrities and entertainment industry executives came out to support the MPTF.

Attendees received gifts from sponsors like Hewlett Packard, Target and L'Oreal which included products from L'Oreal, Lancome, and Kiehl's, bowties and cummerbunds for the men, and dresses, bodysuits, and scarves for the women courtesy of Target's guest designer Zac Posen.

Jenna was able to rubs elbows with host committee members like George Clooney, Sean Penn, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Oscar nominee guests like Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman, Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock. Before and after the event she tweeted...

"Getting ready for big Oscar party tonight. The "night before" dreamworks party. Dollin' it up. "Work!" as Ru-Paul would say ha...What a night! I believe I met the entire town of Hollywood tonight..goodnight all xo"

To keep things more personal and low-key, the only people not invited were press agents and members of the press. No press also means no pics of the ever-gorgeous Jenna from the event. No need to fret, because thanks to StarDoll.com, fans can get the next best thing...

REMINDER: Channing Tatum’s ‘Dear John’ Premieres in Korea, Australia, and Thailand

When Chan's movies start releasing outside of the US, they often create new versions of the posters. I'm using the three new Korean posters created for his latest film, 'Dear John', to remind all of Channing Tatum's Fabulous Fans in Korea, Australia, and Thailand that the movie just premiered in your countries THIS WEEK!!!

'Dear John' tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation. It's based on a Nicholas Sparks' best-selling book, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December of 2008.

CASTING CALL: New York City Auditions for Channing Tatum’s ‘Son of No One’

Dito Montiel (i.e. the director of Channing Tatum's past and future films 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints', 'Fighting', 'Brotherhood of the Rose', and 'Son of No One') has sent out another casting call for the next movie that Chan will film.

'Son of No One' is currently in pre-production and will start filming in New York City very soon. This Sunday the production will be holding an open call for boys and girls of any race who can pass for ages 14 through 16. No experience is necessary, but please only attend the open call if you fit the age appearance requirement.

The open call will take place at Kaufman Astoria Studios on March 7th at 3412 36th Street in Queens between 12 and 4pm. You can CLICK HERE for directions. Minors MUST bring a parent or legal guardian with them to the casting call.

Last I heard, 'Son of No One' is supposed to film in New York City, Toronto, and Detroit and is about a young cop named Jonathan White (played Channing Tatum) who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family. In addition to Chan and his 'Fighting' co-star and Oscar nominee Terrence Howard (who plays Vinny), the cast also includes James Gandolfini (Sergeant Mathers) and Al Pacino (Detective Stanford).

Here's the full synopsis for the film...

"Jonathan White had a rough childhood. His father, a cop, was killed in the line of duty, and Jonathan was raised by his grandmother in the Queensbridge Projects in Queens, NY. He had a lot of friends, and he was the only white kid, so they called him Milk. Milk and his closest friends were going to start a hardcore punk band and become stars like their favorite band, MDC (Millions of Dead Cops). But fate intervened. Milk and his friends were always hassled by a couple of neighborhood junkies, until one day Milk had enough and killed one of the junkies. Later, they were forced to kill the second junkie to avoid being caught. But the police knew more than they publicly let on. Detective Stanford (Al Pacino) approaches young Milk and tells him he doesn't have to worry about getting caught. His dad was Stanford's partner, which makes them like family.

Sixteen years later, Jonathan lives in Long Island with his wife Kerry White, and their beautiful daughter. Like his father, Jonathan is a cop, assigned to the Queensbridge projects where he grew up. 9/11 has caused the neighborhood to change, and real estate developers work closely with the police on a project called "Quality of Life", an effort to rid the neighborhood of junkies and homeless people. For Jonathan, the changes become personal when a rabble-rousing newspaper publishes a letter from an unnamed source, which describes the details of sixteen-year old murders that were never solved because the police didn't care. Jonathan's world is thrown into a tailspin as the letters continue and Sergeant Mathers (James Gandolfini) asks him to give the newspaper editor a visit.

The editor, an aging hippie named Roger Daltry, is determined to find out more about the unsolved murders. Jonathan researches his old friends to see if they're behind the letters. Many are dead, or have been relocated due to the Quality of Life project. He's pretty sure the culprit is Vinny (Terrence Howard), his closest friend. Vinny had a troubled upbringing, and he and Jonathan shared many secrets. Vinny spent some time in jail, and still lives at home with his mom. Jonathan's paranoia intensifies when he finds his work locker unlocked, with a copy of the newspaper inside. In the newspaper is a brand new letter about the murders. Kerry begins receiving threatening phone calls, and Mathers pressures him to silence Daltry. Jonathan confronts his old friend, but can't be sure if he has anything to do with the letters."

TheWrap.com held their 2010 Awards Season Nominee Celebration at the new Four Seasons Hotel Italian restaurant on March 1, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California.

Since Channing Tatum is currently filming Steven Soderbergh's 'Knockout' overseas, wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum attended the event with her manager instead.

Jenna Dewan Really Cooking with Husband Channing Tatum

Newlywed Jenna Dewan says that while her life with Channing Tatum has "just gotten better" since they tied the knot last July, she admits she's still making progress on one spousal ambition.
"I've been trying really hard to be more domesticated," Dewan told PEOPLE during TheWrap.com's awards season party. "It's not in my nature to clean and cook, and so I've been really good about it. And we just actually had professional organizers that came to our house and did a whole bunch of organizing, which was the best thing that I could've done for the New Year, ever!
"And I've been learning to cook so I'm very excited about that!"
After seven months of marriage, Dewan says her relationship with her husband continues to hit new heights. "It's literally just gotten better," said the former Melrose Place actress, 29. "I know that I'm in that weird minority of people that say it got better, but it really did. We got married and it got a ton better!"
As she settles down, Dewan also recently took a walk on the wilder side, having just posed for a PETA photo shoot in full snakeskin body paint.
"It was amazing, but it was five hours standing up without sitting down, painting my entire body like a snake," said Dewan. "They said, 'It comes off in water. ' "

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Channing Tatum in 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date'

As I previously posted, Channing Tatum decided to flex his comedic chops in the next installment of one of HitRECord.org's most popular collaborations, 'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny'.

HitRECord.org was started by Chan's longtime friend Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is a place where artists and filmmakers can post their work and then collaborate with a community of users who can contribute to the work by adding their own tweaks.

The new, unfinished film short is called 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo' and is a sequel to 'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny'. It was written by Metaphorest, and stars Chan, Lexy Hulme (aka Lula) and Joe as Lionel, Destiny, and Morgan.

Now that they've finished shooting the "white walls" version of the video, the HitRECord.org community will collaborate to create the remaining special effects (e.g. art work, visuals, animation, music, etc.) for the film.

Without further ado, the "white walls" version of 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo'...

Although Chan has said he's more comfortable in dramatic roles, I would love to see him in more comedy in the future. Until then, stay tuned to CTU and I'll post future incarnations of 'Morgan & Destiny's Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo' when they're released!

On a related note...Chan has been posting some more of his own work on HitRecord.org over the past few days. Check out an original writing, an oration of Metaphorest's "Mister White Rabbit", and (my favorite) a song he re-recorded when he couldn't sleep a few nights ago. Who knew he could sing too! Before it's official opening, Jenna Dewan-Tatum got an opportunity to shop at The Gap's new 1969 Jeans store on Robertson Boulevard in L.A. on Wednesday before she shot her PETA campaign on Thursday.

Jenna has been working extremely hard to get ready for her shoot. From eating healthy and depriving herself of some of her favorite dishes (anything in the Mexican food category) to working out with top celeb trainer Tracy Anderson to losing sleep as she dreamed about working out, she did everything she could to make sure she was ready for Thursday's shoot. After which, she tweeted...

"Just finished the @peta ad! Had so much fun, can't WAIT for u guys to see! A sexy steamy ad to bring awareness to the abuse of exotic animals...please think before u buy snake, python, alligator purses/shoes!!"

What made Jenna want to star in the campaign? PETA tells me that she was moved by THIS exotic skins investigation. I do want to warn you, because it's a tough video to watch.

As I mentioned before, Jenna also participated in a little retail therapy at The Gap's new 1969 Jeans store on Robertson Boulevard on Wednesday (along with other celebs like Kate Beckinsale, Eva Longoria, Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O'Connell, Debra Messing, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Selma Blair). New UK Release Date, Official Site, and Trailer for Channing Tatum's 'Dear John'

Channing Tatum's UK fans now have a solid release date for 'Dear John', his latest film that recently landed on US shores with a huge band by blasting 'Avatar' out of it's 7 week #1 spot!!!

The movie tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation. It's based on a Nicholas Sparks' best-selling book, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December of 2008.

Channing Tatum Hits Record with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s New Site

Before Channing Tatum left to film Steven Soderbergh's spy thriller 'Knockout' overseas and WAY before his Roman drama 'Eagle of the Ninth' hits the big screen this fall, fans are going to get to see him in a much smaller, but equally important production, with longtime friend Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Five years ago, Joseph began the site hitRECord.org, where artists and filmmakers can post their work and then collaborate with a community of users who can contribute to the work by adding their own tweaks. He uses his position in the traditional entertainment industry to turn that creativity into money-making productions and then shares any profits with the contributing artists.

When I talked to Chan about HitRecord recently, he had nothing but good things to say about the site. In addition to joining the community and posting his own original content, Chan decided to flex his comedic chops in the next installment of one of the sites most popular collaborations, 'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny'.

'Morgan M. Morganson's Date with Destiny' was screened at the 2010 Sundance Festival and is what Joe shows people when they ask "What is hitRECord?".

The way it was created is definitely unconventional...

One user in the community proposed a writing exercise. In response to the challenge, user Metaphorest created a short story that inspired everything else. Joe read the story aloud, another user started drawing the characters, someone else animated the drawings, Joe and user Lula did a live-action rendition, and another community member created the amazing visuals.

In the end, roughly 180 contributions from throughout the HitRecord community contributed to a video that earned two planned screenings at Sundance and was added as a short film to play before the award-winning feature 'Homewrecker' during this year's festival. Joe announced this week that he's currently editing the sequel to the film short above, which is titled 'Morgan & Destiny’s Eleventeeth Date: The Zeppelin Zoo'. The film short was written by Metaphorest, and stars Chan, Lexy Hulme (aka Lula) and Joe as Lionel, Destiny, and Morgan.

VIDEOS OF THE WEEK: ‘Dear John’ Press Tour and ‘Step Up’ Favorites

Most of today's Videos of the Week are related to Channing Tatum's highly successful new movie 'Dear John', which released in the US, Canada, and a few other countries on February 5th, just released in South Africa today, and has a sneak preview in Indonesia this weekend before it's official February 25th debut in that country.

We also have a video that was submitted by Fabulous Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum fan Trecia T., and it's an oldie, but goodie, from their 'Step Up' days. Enjoy!

First up, we have what is hands downs my #1 favorite interview that Chan and co-star Amanda Seyfried did during the 'Dear John' press tour.

It was done on the Toronto leg of the tour, and you may recognize interviewer Jessi Cruickshank from "The Hills", "The City", and "Laguna Beach" after shows on MTV. I've learned that you can always count on Jessi for a laugh, and this interview was no different...

One of the questions I see most often from fans is "What is that song in the 'Dear John' trailer?". As most of you now know, the main song in the trailer is Snow Patrol's "Set the Fire to the Third Bar" featuring Martha Wainwright. The film released a music video for the song with footage of Chan and Amanda from the movie. Fans can watch it below...

After Chan's hilarious Chelsea Lately interview, he headed on over to Rogue for Jonesy's Jukebox for a much more laid back interview with Steve Jones, the co-founder of the Sex Pistols (a popular 70's rock group). Listen in as they talk about Chan's provocative interview with Chelsea Handler, his love for football, the south, becoming an actor, and everything in between...

In this last 'Dear John' video, we have a quick PopSugar report on their coverage of the San Fransisco press tour stop where Chan and Amanda made fans really happy by passing out lots of hugs at the event and where Chan first introduced fans to his new site PostThelove.com.

"I really like this video because well, for obvious reasons, both Channing and Jenna are in it! =D I still remember the first time I've ever watched this video. It was when "Step Up" was released back in 06' and was making a huge splash on Asian shores. Then, one day, while I was flipping through some channels on TV, and I saw this video. I didn't know who Chan and Jen were back then, and I remember thinking, "oh, who's that cute guy in the video? And both of them can really dance!"...I almost gave "Step Up" a pass but this video made me change my mind! What with the black outfits and dancing in the rain, they make dancing so damn sexy! So, I watched the film and guess what? I totally fell head over heels in love with it. I bought the DVD and the soundtrack, and you don't even want to know the number of times I have watched this film. (hint: Its a 2 digit number!) RUMOR OR REEL?: Channing Tatum's Oscar Buzz

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's longtime friend Adam Shankman ("So You Think You Can Dance" judge and producer of all the 'Step Up' films) is also producing this year's Oscars with Bill Mechanic.

Industry news site Deadline Hollywood is throwing out some Oscar spoilers by reporting that there may be a larger focus on younger viewers this year in the telecast. Supposedly, the way they're going to achieve that goal is to have up and comers like Chan, Taylor Lautner, and Zac Efron participate in the show.

At this point, this is purely a RUMOR, but Adam did confirm via Twitter that the show will be packed with SYTYCD favorites like "Travis, Ivan, Jaimie, Kayla, Ellenore, Russell, Jakob, Kathryn, Nick Lazzarini, Legacy, Channing, Lil C, Kupono & more".

It's a huge honor to be involved with the Oscars in any form or fashion, so if this rumor is true, it would be an awesome achievement for Chan. He's currently overseas filming Steven Soderbergh's 'Knockout', but I'm definitely hoping this one pans out and his extremely busy schedule allows him to participate. The bottom line is, I can't give you a definitive answer on this one yet, but I will definitely keep you posted.

MOVIE BYTES: ‘Step Up’, ‘The Eagle of the Ninth’, ‘Son of No One’, and ‘Knockout’

STEP UP

Channing Tatum's and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's 2006 dance hit will premiere on ABC Family this week. Since the two tied the knot last July, we all now know for sure that the sparks between Chan and Jenna weren't just acting. Although they didn't start dating until after the film wrapped, fan's can watch the two fall in love for real on Sunday, February 21 at 8:30/7:30 Central. You can also CLICK HERE for more details.

EAGLE OF THE NINTH

In addition to the official Facebook page, Focus Pictures just launched an official site and announced a release date for Channing Tatum's Roman drama 'The Eagle of the Ninth'.

For those who don't know, the movie is helmed by award-winning director Kevin Macdonald and is based on the best-selling, classic 1954 teen novel by Rosemary Sutcliff, and is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain.

In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (played by Channing) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia - to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father's memory, and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth. Donald Sutherland portrays Marcus' uncle Aquila, who has retired in Britain; Mark Strong is cast as Guern, an ex-soldier who holds crucial information about the Ninth.

SON OF NO ONE

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Channing Tatum's dramatic thriller 'Son of No One' just acquired a new distributor overseas. Here's what the site's founder and editor Nikki Finke had to say about the film's status and casting...

"Channing Tatum’s weekend success in Dear John comes at an auspicious time, as Nu Image takes over world sales agent duties in Berlin on what it says is his Son Of No One. Though UTA says there's no deal yet with its client, Channing is the draw in a drama that reunites him with writer/director Dito Montiel, with whom he made Fighting and A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints. The Montiel-scripted thriller is about a young cop who is at odds with his superiors and fellow officers over a murder cover-up. NuImage says Tatum's co-stars would be Katie Holmes, Terrence Howard, Ray Liotta and Al Pacino. Shooting begins April in New York. Hannibal Pictures put the pic together, with Millennium Films as producer."

In a recent Collider.com interview, Chan had this to say about the film when asked if his next Dito Montiel movie was going to be totally different from 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints'...

"It’s Saints-esque really. It’s like the grown-up “Saints.” Where “Saints” focused in on the kids, it’ll be flip-flopped. It’ll be focused on adults this time with kids as well. Look, that guy’s lived a crazy life and he’s known a lot of crazy people and this will be a true story or pieces of it, and it’ll be insane - (Robert) DeNiro, Ray Liotta, I don’t know if Terrence Howard is going to be in it, I think he might, and a bunch of other people with some really strong personalities coming in. It’s like a psycho cop New York thriller and it’ll be Dito-esque again. With “Fighting,” we just tried to go and do something fun, and then this is him going back and swinging for the fence again into his crazy mind. It’s an independent film so he’ll be allowed to do whatever he wants."

'Son of No One' is currently scheduled to be released in 2011.

KNOCKOUT

As Chan posted in his Post The Love Valentine's Day message to fans, he's headed off to Dublin, Ireland to shoot Steven Soderbergh’s action-revenge spy thriller 'Knockout'. In case you missed it, here's Chan V-Day message to fans...

"My love goes out all this beautiful day of love!! So sorry I've been gone for the last few days. Things have been crazy with the film and I had to get ready to go to dublin for a new job. that will take me away from the ones I love in my life. Especially my wife, sorry baby. Anyways I will be post more soon. Love you guys."

The movie will star Mixed Martial Arts champion and non-actor Gina Carano in the lead role as a black ops spy that is betrayed by her team. Chan (who will also film some of 'Knockout' in Barcelona, Spain) will play one of the elite specialists on Carano’s team named Aaron — a military gearhead-type who’s sent to try and bring her back in once she’s been double-crossed and gone rogue; trying to figure out who exactly is setting her up. But there is no love lost between the characters which makes his mission more difficult.

The movie also stars Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, and Michael Fassbender and is scheduled to hit theaters some time in 2010 or 2011.

UNWRAPPED PHOTOS | Channing Tatum Leaving Chelsea Lately

After his first ever appearance on Ellen Degeneres, Channing Tatum made his way to E!'s Chelsea Lately show (another first) where he wrapped up the 'Dear John' Press Tour with yet another hilarious interview.

The movie, which hit theaters on February 5, 2010 and skyrocketed to #1 by beating Avatar (the box office leader for 7 consecutive weeks), tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation.

‘Dear John‘ is based on a Nicholas Sparks book by the same name, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December 2008.

CTU EXCLUSIVE: Chan and Jenna Behind-the-Scenes at Ellen Degeneres

With best friend Adam and his wife Christin, sister Paige, and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum in tow, Channing Tatum made his first ever appearance on Ellen yesterday. Based on the hilarious photo that was released prior to the show, it was quite clear that fun was had by all at the Tuesday taping of Ellen where Chan also raised money for Haiti by giving very excited audience members hugs and kisses.

Paige, who was nice enough to take a behind-the-scenes pic of Chan and Jenna in his dressing room just for CTU, said that everyone was laughing hysterically before, during, and after the appearance and had a ton of fun at the filming. When you watch the interview below, you'll know exactly why...

PETA Chooses Jenna Dewan-Tatum for New Campaign

If you know Jenna Dewan-Tatum for any time at all, then you know how much she loves animals, so I was really excited for her when I read the great news she shared with everyone on her official Twitter this week.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has chosen Jen for their latest campaign. Here's what she tweeted to fans....

"Exciting news! As most of u know, I am a HUGE animal lover. I have been chosen to do the new PETA campaign and I couldn't be happier! A very sexy shoot to draw attention to the abuse of exotic animals. Choose faux leopard, alligator, python prints - lets be kind 2 our animals! The abuse that I saw these poor animals go through is HORRENDOUS..We have to take a stand!"

What made Jenna want to star in the campaign? PETA tells me that she was moved by the exotic skins investigation below. I do want to warn you, because it's a tough video to watch...

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, with more than 2 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. They focus their attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. They work through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

Channing Tatum and his gorgeous wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, celebrated the uber successful release of his new movie 'Dear John' at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Channing Tatum Wraps Up ‘Dear John’ Press Tour in NYC and Takes Theaters By Storm Across the Country

In case you missed it, Variety and tons of other news outlets are reporting that Channing Tatum's romantic drama 'Dear John' is now officially the first movie to take on Avatar and WIN!

Against all estimates, odds, rain, and what's being call "the storm of the century" in the North East, Chan's fans showed up in droves to the sold-out midnight screenings all over the country and packed theaters during the day to help the film reach $13.8 million on Friday. The movie is now projected to make over $30 million for the entire weekend, beating everyone's original estimates by leaps and bounds.

Regardless of the final weekend number, 'Dear John' has already set records. It's the highest Friday opening for Screen Gems and is also the highest opening for a Nicholas Sparks adaptation. The last two Sparks films, 2008’s "Nights in Rodanthe" and "The Notebook," charted opening weekends just north of $13 million, which is what 'Dear John' made on Friday alone.

I couldn't be happier for Chan and everyone involved with the film. Their hard work is paying off and fans are loving the movie. This kind of success doesn't come easily and both Chan and his 'Dear John' co-star Amanda Seyfried have been working non-stop to promote the film across the country.

They just wrapped up the New York leg of their 'Dear John' press tour yesterday after stops in Fort Bragg, Charleston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, San Fransisco, and Los Angeles.

GIVING BACK: Jenna Dewan Supports “Have a Heart for Haiti”

Last night Jenna Dewan-Tatum attended the "Have a Heart for Haiti" event held at Palihouse Holloway in West Hollywood, California. The charity event was hosted by Zoe Saldana, Emile Hirsch, and Michelle Rodriguez for Vin Diesel's One Race Foundation, and donations made at the event will go towards the purchase of baby formula for children in Haiti. Below you can check out photos from the event and the invitation that was sent out to guests.

The One Race Global Film Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by actor, director and writer Vin Diesel, with the mission of fostering the growth of diverse national and international voices in under-served communities within the global entertainment industry.

Through education and training in film, video, and new media production One Race students gain hands-on experience as writers, producers, directors, actors, cinematographers, physical production technicians and editors of short film and video projects during an intensive summer training program and year-round weekend workshops conducted in host countries.

Through the One Race Global Film Foundation Summer Intensive, young filmmakers learn every facet of the filmmaking process – from a story’s inception to completion. In partnership with New York University and the government of the Dominican Republic, the Foundation has already served over 500 aspiring filmmakers and graduated more than 80 students who have produced over 25 short films during their tenure.

I honestly don't know where Channing Tatum gets the energy. He's one of the hardest working people I know and manages to do it all with a smile on his face.

After two premieres in Fort Bragg and Charleston, countless stops in Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago and San Fransisco, and launching a new website, the press tour for Chan's romantic drama 'Dear John' finally made it to the Los Angeles red carpet premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Monday night.

If I had to pick one word to describe my interactions with Chan, Jenna, and their family over the past three years, LOVE would win hands down.

They say it. They show it. It's who they are, and it's 100% real. So was I surprised to learn that Chan was starting a site dedicated to sharing love?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

Our CTU family has grown yet again today, because Chan just launched PostTheLove.com. An amazing site dedicated to anyone and everyone who wants to share the love they have. Chan explains it best in this video message he created just for all of us here at CTU...

Not that you need more convincing that Chan's got a little experience in the love category, but here's snippet from a recent 'Dear John' interview where Chan shares his advice on the topic...

Since this is such a romantic movie, I have to ask what do you think is the most important quality in a mate?

Channing: Obviously loyalty. But that should just be a given. Having somebody you want to grow with and makes you want to be better I think is a huge key other than just enjoying them and laughing and having fun with each other.

To make it work is you have to pay attention. You have to want to make sure they're okay. I know if Jenna's had a bad dream. I know if she's going to wake up in a good mood. I just know. Maybe because I've spent a lot of time with her but 'pay attention guys. If you love the person, just figure out how to make them happy. Write a little note. Put it under the toilet seat. Do something crazy. Make them laugh.' It's not that hard to pay attention and care.

Chan definitely pays attention and cares when it comes to his fans, and PostTheLove.com is yet another example of that.

Partner Promotions for Channing Tatum’s Management Team

I just wanted to take a second to congratulate two very important members of Channing Tatum's inner circle.

Via the Hollywood Reporter, I just learned that Chan's longtime managers, William Choi (aka Bill) and Peter Kiernan, were just promoted to partner at Management 360.

Here's what the Reporter has to say about the dynamic duo, who have been with Chan pretty much since day one...

"Managers William Choi, Peter Kiernan and Nicole King have been promoted to partners at Management 360. The trio join the firm's founding partners Suzan Bymel, Guymon Casady, Eric Kranzler, Evelyn O'Neill, Daniel Rappaport and David Seltzer.

Collectively, the three new partners represent clients including Taylor Lautner, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Jessica Biel, Matthew Fox, Bryce Dallas Howard, Giovanni Ribisi, Kat Dennings, Marisa Tomei, Jason Biggs and Eric Dane.

"Their elevation is an embodiment of our commitment to cultivating exceptional managers from within our own ranks and puts us at a tremendous strategic advantage as we look to the future," the partners said in a statement.

Choi began his career as Bymel's assistant at Bymel O'Neill & Associates in 1998 and also worked with Bymel and O'Neill as a manager at Talent Entertainment Group. He followed them to Management 360 at its inception in 2002. Choi represents Fox and Dane and, along with Kiernan, Lautner and Tatum.

Kiernan also joined the company in 2002 after working with Bymel and O'Neill at Talent Entertainment Group. He began his repping career at More/Medavoy in 1997. His clients include Lautner and Tatum as well as Tomei, Howard and Biggs.

King got her start in publicity, working at PR film BWR handling publicity for clients including Garner and Biel, coming to Management 360 as a manager in 2005. Her clients include Garner, Biel, Dennings, Ribisi, Becki Newton and Alison Lohman."

Channing Tatum's 'Dear John' Press Tour Takes Over San Fransisco

After stops in Fort Bragg, Charleston, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Chicago, the regional press tour for Channing Tatum's romantic drama 'Dear John' made it's last stop in San Fransisco this past Friday.

Channing Tatum's 'Dear John' Press Tour Hits Toronto and Chicago

The regional press tour for Channing Tatum's romantic drama 'Dear John' wrapped up this past Friday after stops in Fort Bragg, Charleston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, and San Fransisco. Today's post is dedicated to the Toronto and Chicago legs of the tour, and my next post will highlight Friday's extremely popular Macy's fan meet and greet in San Fransisco.

After Toronto, the 'Dear John' press tour headed on over to Chi-town where Chan and Amanda met with the local media. Below, you can read an interview they did at the Peninsula in Chicago with the Chicago Tribune where Chan (the endless romantic) talks about a new love-themed website he told me he plans to launch as early as this week. I'll have a lot more details on PostTheLove.com soon, but you can read a little about it the new article below...

Don't let your girlfriend or wife read this interview with 'Dear John' stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried...As if “The Notebook” didn’t already raise women’s romantic expectations high enough, now guys have to deal with “Dear John,” another romance flick based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, which features a more muscular, Abercrombie model-looking heartthrob in the male protagonist role.

Thanks, Hollywood.

Channing Tatum (or “Chan” as he introduced himself to me) plays John Tyree, a soldier who meets Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried) when he jumps off a dock and into water to rescue her purse. The two instantly fall for each other and stay in touch when he’s away on duty by writing letters.

Like any other bitter male, I went into my interview with Tatum and Seyfried at their downtown hotel on Thursday hoping somewhat to find a flaw in Tatum. You know, so I could tell my female friends who swooned over him in the dancy-heavy “Step Up” films that he’s an arrogant jerk, a womanizer or, at the very least, a meathead.

Unfortunately, that plan backfired.

“Chan didn’t get much sleep last night because he’s working on a website devoted to expressing love,” said Seyfried, 24, who knitted a hat while answering questions alongside Tatum. “He’s reaching out to the public to share their love stories.”

Tatum, who married his “Step-Up” co-star, Jenna Dewan, is hoping to get the website, PostTheLove.com, done before “Dear John” hits theaters Feb. 5.

“You can put up a poem, a youtube video of yourself singing a song or a photo of yourself with ‘I love you’ written on your hand,” said Tatum, 29. “I don’t care what it is. I just want a venue for people to express themselves.”

So much for Tatum being a meathead. The guy is just as romantic as his letter-writing character. And when I asked about his sex scene with Seyfried, Tatum didn't call his blond co-star "smoking hot" and make the cliche "It's a tough job..." joke. No, he had to go and make a valid argument about the cheapness of some sex scenes.

“I think sex scenes in movies take people out of the film,” Tatum said. “It’s like, now it’s Chan and Amanda -- not John and Savannah. If done right, it won’t do that. But sometimes it’s like ‘Oh my God, oh my God, Angelina Jolie is naked.’ ”

(Seyfried, on the other hand, joked "I think they're fun -- I take advantage of them.")

Tatum -- as sensitive as he might be -- still manages to give off a likeable guy's guy vibe. He’s worked in construction, has a few future Spike TV movies to his name, including “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and “Fighting,” and practices mixed martial arts in his basement, according to his cover story in this month’s “Details.”

He was also self-depreciating during our 15-minute conversation, but only a little because there’s only so much Chan could depreciate.

When Seyfried called Tatum a better kisser than her “Jennifer’s Body” co-star Megan Fox, Tatum sheepishly responded “It’s because she likes guys.”

According to Seyfried, that was only part of the reason.

“I prefer being intimate with males,” she said. “And the kiss with Megan was very technical. There were extreme close-ups of tongue and lips -- maybe too much -- but it was kind of necessary for the movie. With Chan, they were romantic kisses. I felt more comfortable doing it with Chan than I did with Megan. That’s for sure.”

I wanted to let you all know that Focus Pictures just released an official Facebook page for Channing Tatum's Roman drama 'The Eagle of the Ninth'. Make sure you fan the page to get the latest photos, videos, and scoop on the film, which is now set to hit theaters in September 2010.

'The Eagle of the Ninth' is helmed by award-winning director Kevin Macdonald and is based on the best-selling, classic 1954 teen novel by Rosemary Sutcliff, and is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain.

In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (played by Channing) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth.

Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia - to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father's memory, and retrieve the lost legion's golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth. Donald Sutherland portrays Marcus' uncle Aquila, who has retired in Britain; Mark Strong is cast as Guern, an ex-soldier who holds crucial information about the Ninth.

Channing Tatum’s ‘Dear John’ Press Tour Hits Philly

The 'Dear John' press tour started out at Fort Bragg, moved on to Charleston, had to skip over Atlanta because of bad weather, and moved strait to Philadelphia, which prompted Chan to tweet...

"Yo tweeters in Philly doing press for Dear John. It's a little cold but three words philly cheese steak... Ballin!...I love my life and I keep waiting to wake up. I've had a crazy life been way down at times and way up at times...To all the tweets reading I love you guys and can't quite find the words to say thank you but THANK YOU!!"

In case you missed it, Chan had a full-on tweet session with over 160,000 of his closest fans on Tuesday to thank you guys for all of the support. I told you all it could happen at any time, so hopefully you didn't miss it and got a response from him before he jumped on a plane to Toronto, the next stop on the multi-city press tour.

"Finally, a movie recommendation: Dear John comes out Friday the fifth of February. Thanks to my cool friend Wyck (who many of you have seen in various Twilight Saga interviews, as he is one of the producers on our movies, and who is a producer on Dear John) I got to see this one early. I will confess, I cried. Also, I discovered Channing Tatum, who I've somehow missed until now. Likey. Lots. Amanda Seyfried is entrancing as always, and the chemistry (chemistry is always the crux of a movie for me) between them is lovely. Though the chemistry between Channing Tatum and Richard Jenkins (who plays his father) was my favorite part."

In addition to the Twilight Saga's screenwriter, sounds like Chan has converted yet another and all those fans who still hope to see him in a Twilight film, may just be one step closer to getting your wish one day.

Chan also did a ton of press in Chicago today and will end this leg of the press tour with a stop in San Fransisco tomorrow that includes a meet-and-greet at Macy's in San Fransisco's Union Square.

Chan and his 'Dear John' co-star Amanda Seyfried will be on hand to meet and greet two hundred fans from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Impulse Department on the third floor of Macy's at 170 O'Farrell Street.

After that, he'll head home to get ready for another busy week of 'Dear John' promotions, which includes, but is not limited to, the following...

New Stills from Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s ‘Legend of Hell’s Gate’ & New iPhone App for ‘Falling Awake’

In case you missed Jenna Dewan-Tatum's recent tweet, I wanted to let you all know that her upcoming western, 'The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy', just added new stills of Jen to their official site. Fans can check out all the new pics below and can find more photos from the Texas set in the CTU Photo Gallery...

Written and directed by Tanner Beard 'The Legend of Hell’s Gate' is about how “Hell’s Gate” at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas came to have it’s name and will allow fans to relive the story of how three outlaw’s expeditions and encounters through historical 1870’s Texas ended up being remembered for a lifetime. In addition to Grandbury, Texas, the movie filmed in Boerne, Texas, moved on to Possum Kingdom, and also filmed in the Erath, Palo Pinto and Hood counties. The movie currently has an anticipated release of summer or fall of 2010.

Last week I posted an article on the New York premiere of Jenna's new movie 'Falling Awake'. After the premiere, Jenna, 'Falling Awake' director Agustin, and actor Andrew Cisneros received as a gift personalized bottles of Jose Cuervo Platino, which is a silver tequila. New Photos and Video of Chan and Jenna at the Fort Bragg and Charleston ‘Dear John’ Premieres

Channing Tatum's version of Nicholas Sparks' Dear John recently hit the No. 1 spot on the USA TODAY best selling books list. With hopes that the film will mimic that level of success, Chan and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum kicked off the 'Dear John' Press Tour by attending a premiere at the Fort Bragg military base this past Saturday.

From there, the tour took Chan and Jenna from North Carolina to Charleston and will continue on through Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco before it lands back in Los Angeles for, from what I hear, a February 1st premiere. On today's post, you'll be able to check out a ton of new photos and video from fans and the media who attended the events. First up, FORT BRAGG...

The Fay Observer reports that hundreds of fans stood outside the York Theater on Saturday afternoon vying for a chance to hang out with the stars of 'Dear John' at Fort Bragg. At the event, which was open to military ID holders, Chan told the Observer...

"I just really hope that everybody likes the movie. We just really wanted to make a beautiful movie about two kids falling in love and extraordinary people in extraordinary circumstances."

Chan and his co-star Amanda Seyfried arrived at the York Theater in humvees and made their way down the camouflage carpe, which was topped with a red carpet, to sign autographs, pose for pictures, and talk to fans who had been waiting for hours in some cases. Chan, Jenna, and Amanda also visited Womack Army Medical Center to meet with wounded Soldiers from the Warrior Transition Battalion.

Once inside the movie theater, Fort Bragg garrison commander Col. Stephen J. Sicinski presented the stars with miniature "Iron Mike" statues as a token of appreciation.

"Dear John" is everything you expect it to be - weepy, touching and downright sweet...Seyfried and Tatum are charming enough to hold interest in their leading roles. Tatum, who starred in the lesser "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra," can come off as wooden, but here he gives a believable, heartfelt performance. Seyfried, of the TV series "Big Love," has those large expressive green eyes perfect for showing how it feels to find true love...The film, though, truly belongs to the terrific supporting characters and mainly to the great character actor, Richard Jenkins, who plays John's father. Jenkins gives an engaging performance as a man who does not know how to behave in social situations nor, most heartbreakingly, how to embrace his distant son. The story is as much about John's relationship with his father as it is about the love story between Savannah and John....Henry Thomas of "ET" also gives a stellar performance as Savannah's neighbor, a single dad who is raising an autistic son. Thomas is an understated, deliberate actor who gets a lot of the film's funniest and most touching lines....Yes, there are humorous parts in "Dear John" as well as a grand romantic gesture, but there's also sadness and sacrifice which make it a true Nicholas Sparks tale."

Next stop...Charleston, South Carolina...

After honoring the military at Fort Bragg Chan and Jenna headed on over to Charleston, South Carolina (where a lot of the movie was filmed in late 2008) to attend a star-studded fundraiser for Carolina Autism, a local nonprofit that provides services to children and adults with autism. Ticket holders received a private screening of the film and the opportunity to mingle with the actors at a party afterward at the S.C. Aquarium.

Phil Blevins, the Executive Director of Carolina Autism, contacted me this morning to share the following details about the very successful event which raised approximately $100,000 for children battling autism...

"Had a blast. The movie had people crying. Channing and Amanda stayed for the afterparty and participated in the charity auction. Channing auctioned off his Armani scarf for a thousand dollars and even auctioned the gum he was chewing."

I just wanted to remind everyone that Jenna Dewan-Tatum's independent film 'Falling Awake' just had a nationwide release via IFC and Mega Films on Video On Demand TODAY and will have a limited theatrical release on January 29, 2010.

Jenna attended the premiere for the film last night in New York City. Below, you can check out personal behind-the-scenes pics that she tweeted out before the event and paparazzi photos of Jen with co-star Andy Cisneros at the premiere.

I love the personal photos, because she tweeted a pic from the plane thousands of feet in the air in route to New York, from Chan and Jen's favorite NY restaurant (Habana Cafe), and from the makeup chair as she was getting ready for the event. Other notable cast members include Nestor Serrano ('Bad Boys', '24'), Julie Carmen ('The Milagro Beanfield War'), Nicholas Gonzalez ('Resurrection Boulevard'), Flaco Navaja ('Fighting'), Michael Rivera ('Fighting') and rap artist Kazi Rolle. Channing Tatum is all over the magazines lately, the most I've honestly ever seen in a single week. Fans can find Chan in the latest issues of Details (February 2010), Instyle (February 2010), Entertainment Weekly (January 22nd) for both 'Dear John' and 'Eagle of the Ninth', Intouch (January 25th), AND OK (January 25th) magazine, and you can check out all the high quality scans for each on today's post in the CTU Photo Gallery.

In addition to being featured in the print magazine, Chan and his upcoming movie 'Eagle of the Ninth' were also featured on Entertainment Weekly's website this week. Here's EW's first look at 'Eagle'...

"...EW chatted with Tatum last week about the movie in question, The Eagle of the Ninth, which Focus Features will release this fall. “It’s almost like an old western, like The Searchers,” Tatum said, while pointing out that the film’s still very much an epic in the tradition of Gladiator and Braveheart. “Are you going to get big, huge battles and things you’d expect in an epic? Yeah, absolutely. But it’s smarter than just a big epic. It’s more of a personal, relationship story about these two guys that have to go on this journey together.”

Tatum plays Marcus Aquila, a Roman army officer in 140 A.D. whose father was the commander of the legendary Ninth Legion — a unit of soldiers that mysteriously disappeared 20 years earlier in the mountains of present-day Scotland while trying to conquer the region’s various Celtic tribes. For Aquila, the legion’s presumed defeat has brought considerable shame to the family, so he decides to embark on a quest into those northern tribal lands in hopes of learning exactly what happened to his dad. Accompanying Aquila is his British slave Esca, played by Jamie Bell (King Kong, Billy Elliot). “They’re really just two broken, lonely people,” said Tatum. “They welcome death, and then they find a reason to live and a purpose and honor through this journey.”

The Eagle of the Ninth is directed by Scottish filmmaker and documentarian Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void), so naturally the movie was shot in Scotland for maximum authenticity. And with authenticity comes extreme weather conditions. “Scotland might have been one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, but it hated us,” Tatum confessed. “I have never imagined conditions like this. You’d look around the set and all you could see would be two inches in front of you. It was raining every single day, and Jamie and I would be on the back of a horse, freezing and soaked to the bone. When you see us cold and tired and shivering in the movie, none of that’s acting!”..."

We have new pics of Chan attending GBK's official gifting lounge at the BCS National Championship Party and doing interviews with the Hollywood Foreign Press interviews for 'Dear John'. We also have Chan and Jenna leaving Energy Muse Jewelery and at last night's Art of Elysium’s Charity Gala.

First up, prior to taking his dad Glenn (a diehard Alabama fan) to the BCS National Championship game, Chan attended pre-game festivities thrown by GBK on January 6th at the Pasadena Convention Center. Jenna Dewan-Tatum Sparkles at InStyle’s Diamond Fashion Show Preview

Next week, Jenna Dewan-Tatum will travel to New York to promote for her upcoming film 'Falling Awake', but this week we have some new, beautiful pics and video of the starlet as she attends awards season festivities in Los Angeles.

Jenna attended the Ninth Annual Awards Season Diamond Fashion Show Preview hosted by InStyle on January 14th at the Beverly Hills Hotel. At the event, Jen told Instyle...

"I had meetings and auditions all morning, so I wasn't sure I was going to make it here," said a breathless Jenna Dewan, before heading in to the Beverly Hills Hotel's Rodeo Ballroom. "But then someone handed me this gorgeous Paule Ka dress and some diamonds and here I am!"

After the event she tweeted...

"Just went to @Instyle luncheon honoring conflict free diamonds! Such a fun event and was even given a bracelet designed by Rachel Bilson :) The bracelet is great for everyday and proceeds go to helping rebuild African communities."

'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra''s Channing Tatum plays a soldier who falls for 'Mamma Mia!' star Amanda Seyfried in the new romantic drama 'Dear John,' in theaters February 5. The pair tells ET that like many Nicholas Sparks stories, it can be a bit of a tearjerker.
"A lot of tears are shed," Amanda tells ET. "It's really sentimental. I think it's absolutely inspiring, and I'm proud of that. And, you know, everybody needs a little romance."
"I know what 'The Notebook' did to my girlfriend at the time -- just utter waterworks," adds Channing. "It was for a reason. Those movies just hit something inside of everybody. I think even guys, at the end of the movie, guys are just trying to hold it together."

Based on the novel by Sparks, Channing plays John, a young soldier on leave who meets idealistic college student Savannah (Amanda) while she's on spring break. All it takes is two weeks for the pair to fall deeply in love. But when John is called back in harm's way repeatedly, they remain connected throughout the years with a continuous stream of touching love letters. But will their bond ultimately tear them apart? Henry Thomas and Richard Jenkins also star in the film from Oscar-winning director Lasse Hallstrom.
"It was a little darker than some of the things that I had seen in the past from [Sparks]," says Channing of the project. "And it didn't even really feel like a war thing. It was just two kids that fell in love and had no idea how to be in love -- and they had no idea what was coming down the road."
Of his co-star, Channing beams, "She's kind of really quirky and interesting. She's so talented that she makes really interesting choices. … Plus, she's beautiful and funny. You can't replace that."
"He's a guy's guy, but he's so sensitive to how people are feeling around him," says Amanda of her hunky co-star. "He's so handsome too. He's not bad to look at. And all the kissing scenes and the romantic scenes, they just were silly. We made it silly and we made it fun because it can be awkward when your partner is visiting, [and Channing] was engaged at the time, and now he's married."

'DEAR JOHN' PREMIERE

FayObserver is reporting that Fort Bragg will get a taste of Hollywood when 'Dear John' has its world premiere on the military post. Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried, author Nicholas Sparks, and Sony film execs will kick off a 'Dear John' regional press tour with a red carpet event on January 23rd at 4 p.m. at the York Theater, which has a capacity of about 700. Free tickets were distributed yesterday to military ID-holders through Fort Bragg's Morale Welfare and Recreation.

Sparks, Tatum and Seyfried are scheduled to attend a meet and greet with fans outside the theater before the film starts. After the meet and greet, the first 600 ticket holders in line will be admitted into the theater.

Following the Fort Bragg premiere, Chan will attend a special premiere benefiting Carolina Autism in Charleston, South Carolina (CLICK HERE to buy tickets), and then will move on to Atlanta and various other locations before he wraps up the regional leg of the tour on Friday January 29th. I've even heard a rumor that Chan may just be strutting his stuff on Ellen before all is said and done. Stay tuned for more details very soon!

I got my first look at Chan's new cover and photos for Details at the 'Dear John' press junket this weekend when Chan's publicist came into his suite to show it to him for the first time. As all of us in the room were complimenting Chan on the hot new shoot, I got to hear the set injury story you're about to read first hand from the man himself. And for the record, all photos of said incident had thankfully been removed from his phone at that point. :-)

Channing Tatum Is Proud of His Package
What bothers a tough-as-nails action hero? That he can't find a good spot in L.A. to shake his moneymaker.

Channing Tatum's penis is gross. It looks like a hot dog that's been left too long on the grill. The tip is hot-pink, singed, and shriveled. It appears angry. And it's painful to view. My penis hurts just from looking at it. Movie stars tend to be vain, by nature and profession, but Chan—that's what everyone calls him—does not mind one bit showing me his sad, withered wiener.

"It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life," he says, flipping through photos on his iPhone until he lands on a grainy snapshot of a scorched member. His scorched member. "I'm good . . . now," he says with a grin. "Now my penis is fantastic! One hundred percent recovered. Put me back in the game, Coach." Tatum's no nancy boy: When not on set, the former high-school-football standout, who did all his own stunts in a movie aptly titled Fighting, spends most of his time in his basement gym, engaged in ball-bruising mixed-martial-arts workouts. "I've been to the hospital, gotten stitches, had broken fingers and toes. But this was a suffocating kind of pain."

We're seated at a picnic table on the slate patio of Tatum's cozy Laurel Canyon home, drinking beers near the pool as the sun drops behind the Hollywood Hills. The famously chiseled star of the 2006 dancesploitation sleeper hit Step Up and '09's boyhoodmemorysploitation blockbuster G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is happily lugging around some extra pounds between films. "There's this YouTube thing called 'Channing Tatum Got Fat' that has the whole spectrum of me, from model-skinny"—he Zoolandered for Abercrombie & Fitch and the Gap, among others, before breaking into movies—"to my actor weight." When I ask him what he currently weighs, Tatum responds by patting his tummy: "I'm about 20 pounds more than you—around 200. I either have to gain 30 pounds or lose 30 pounds for my next role. I haven't decided which yet." But he knows well that no one's gonna drop 11 bucks to see a doughy Channing Tatum. A stud can dream, though: "I'm gonna give it five more years and then say, 'Get me some fat roles, boys!'"

Sporting sleepy eyes, camouflage cargo shorts, a wicked case of bed head, and a can of Coors Light, Tatum has the chilled bearing of a frat boy the day after the big kegger. On film and in person, he carries his pinup looks and guy's-guy brawn with real lightness and humility—and that's the essence of his appeal. Tatum is a fitting action hero for our downsized times: modest, decent, able-bodied. His house, the first he's ever owned, is situated on a small cul-de-sac, perched on a mountainside, cocooned by trees, and walled all around, but the effect is much less paparazzi-proof fortress—"Trust me, no one is waiting outside to take my picture," he says—than honeycomb hideout, a $2.6 million tree house for the 29-year-old Tatum; his wife, Step Up costar Jenna Dewan; and their two dogs, Lulu and Meeka.

Inside, the place is warm, comfy, and sparingly furnished; unpacked boxes still line the hardwood floors of the upstairs bedroom. "We're both away so much," he says with a sigh. Downstairs, the small living room is unremarkable—a wall-mounted flat-screen, a dog-friendly sectional sofa, some vaguely Moroccan brass-angel knickknacks—save for a large, gushingly romantic Technicolor painting of the couple hanging above the stairwell. In it, Tatum and Dewan are bare-shouldered, staring deep into each other's eyes from inside the outline of a heart. "That was a wedding gift," he says admiringly, commissioned by a friend whose occupation Tatum describes as "life coach."

Back outside, Tatum walks past the Jacuzzi down to a gas fireplace. He turns a knob, then pokes at a log pile to get the blaze going. Lulu, chew toy in mouth, has assumed her spot on the picnic bench. Tatum says he loves that when he wanders out here at night, it's so secluded and peaceful he could almost be back home down South. Almost. He leans over, reaches into a plastic cooler, and grabs another Coors Light. "This is only out here because me and Jenna just had family and friends over for Thanksgiving," he explains. "I don't want people to think I'm a bigger redneck than I already am."

Tatum has recently returned from Scotland, where he was filming a Roman battle epic called The Eagle of the Ninth, directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland). The role is a familiar one: For the fourth time in his brief career, Tatum plays a soldier—this one from Rome's legendary Ninth Legion. "It's really a beautiful story of trust and honor and friendship," he says. He nods thoughtfully, then lets out a laugh. "But I'll never shoot a movie in Scotland again. Ever."

Tatum was pretend-soldiering one raw, wet October day in the Scottish Highlands. The action required him to wade in ice-cold water, which, despite a high-tech wetsuit, could be withstood for only a few minutes. "The only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your suit. We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I'm like, Nah, I'm good. And then I thought, Why not? Thing is, he'd forgotten to dilute the kettle water. So he poured scalding water down my suit. And I was trying to pull the suit away from my body to somehow get away from the boiling water, and the more I pulled the suit away, the lower the water went. It just went straight down and pretty much burned the skin off the head of my dick."

Tatum was rushed to the nearest hospital—an hour away. Before long, the ice pack he was applying to the burn lost its chill. "I said to the driver, who was ex-special-forces Marines, 'You might have to knock me out, because I don't know if I can take the pain. Just grab something and hit me on the back of my head.'" Morphine finally KO'd the agony, and a team of doctors salved and bandaged his wound. "I had five guys looking at my shriveled, burned penis," he says proudly.

Sure, plenty of dudes love to natter on about their junk, but it's tough to imagine fellow superstars-in-the-making Shia LaBeouf and Ryan Gosling cheerfully sharing pictures of their gnarled rods with a reporter. Tatum is so unguarded it's almost unnerving. He rhapsodizes about one day writing a "fantastical dansical." When discussing the percentage of his films in which he's appeared shirtless (that'd be 100), he momentarily offers prideful resistance—"In Stop-Loss, I only had it off once"—before helping with the count. "All the time in She's the Man," he says, blushing. "G.I. Joe, too. And all the early films." I decide not to mention that the opening of the trailer for his upcoming romantic soldier drama Dear John shows Tatum bare-chested and dripping wet. How could I? While Tatum's sucking down Silver Bullets from a cooler, he insists on dashing inside to beer me with higher-end brews.

"There's no vanity with Chan," says Amanda Seyfried, who plays his love interest in Dear John, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. "That's the first thing that struck me about him. I saw this intensely good-looking guy, and I expected some vanity. But he's not like that at all. He's not afraid to be embarrassed, not afraid to look stupid. One of the reasons he's such a good actor is that he's not afraid of anything."

To be fair, the jury's still out on how good an actor Channing Tatum really is, will be, or, in green-screen gunk like G.I. Joe, even needs to be. G.I. Joe may have certified Tatum as a box-office draw—it was his first $100 million earner—but his strongest performance to date came in his breakthrough role. In 2006's outer-borough coming-of-age tale A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Tatum played a street tough named Antonio, a pained, charismatic, and brutish dead-ender who thinks only with his fists. The New York Times compared him to Brando; the film's director, Dito Montiel, tosses out McQueen, Pacino, De Niro. "There's something about Chan that feels normal," says Montiel, a no-bullshit dems/dese/dose guy who has cast Tatum in all three of his films. "Most actors today live in a bubble. Chan's a real guy. He's had his ass kicked in real life, and done a little of that, too. That changes you."

Tatum's considerable onscreen presence is still mostly physical. "I've aways been good at picking up certain things, like sports and dancing," he says. In his films, Tatum oozes a jock's bulletproof confidence, but because real men don't swagger, he often undercuts his virility with barn-size gestures of small-town goodness: unfailing manners, aw-shucks humility, courtliness toward women. Tatum calls Clint Eastwood his hero; he says he used to dream about writing a letter to him: "I'm sorry for all of us wimpy actors out there. Please teach me." Not surprisingly, then, a Channing Tatum character usually isn't much of a talker. He admits he tends to mumble his lines. "I had a bad stutter when I was really young," he says. "I couldn't get a sentence out. Like, 'D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-ad.' And that turned into a mumble."

Tatum's father, himself a blue-chip athlete in high school, owned a roofing company until he fell and broke his back; after that, he traveled the South by car, peddling building supplies. The family moved from Alabama to Mississippi's Gulf Coast and finally to Tampa, Florida, where Chan lived out the script to a Very Special Degrassi High episode: excelling as captain of the football team, exchanging promise rings with the head cheerleader, and fending off thoughts about suicide, a side effect of medication he took to treat attention-deficit disorder.

"I was not good in school," Tatum says. "I could never read very fast or very well. I got tested for learning disabilities, for dyslexia. Then I got put on Ritalin and Dexedrine. I took those starting in the eighth grade." The pills worked, too, for a while. "As soon as they pumped that drug into me, it would focus me right in," he exclaims. "I was doing great. I was getting A's, doing extra-credit work!" He laughs, then asks if I need another beer. "But the longer I took the Dexedrine," he continues, "the worse I felt. It sucked all the personality from me. I'd get depressed. I would think suicidal—I was never personally suicidal, but I could see how some kids were, how they'd be, like, I can't take this anymore. Finally, my senior year, I said, 'That's it. I am done with these.'"

After spending a year at a small college in West Virginia on a football scholarship, he returned to Tampa, with no idea what he wanted to do. He bunked with his sister and worked a series of crap jobs: mortgage broker, telemarketer, house framer, record-store clerk, perfume spritzer in a department store. Hump it all day, then slap on the hair gel, guzzle a few, and cruise for trouble in the evenings. One afternoon, he heard a radio spot for a nightclub seeking dancers. Tatum liked to dance, so he turned up at the club to learn more.

"I remember meeting Chan that day," says Adam Martingano, who also answered the ad. "We were standing upstairs there, trying to figure out if this was something we wanted to do." Tatum and Martingano, now a software executive, have been best friends ever since that audition 10 years ago; Martingano was Tatum's best man at his wedding last July, the two are partners in a production company, and they work out together daily at Tatum's gym. Once you've done the bump 'n' grind in a thong next to another bethonged guy as part of a stripper revue called Male Encounter, your bond as BFFs is sealed.

"I've been wanting to talk about this forever!" swears Tatum. "You have publicists and managers saying no, and I'm like, Mmm-mmm, it's gonna come out. I never wanted to hide it." Last September, Usmagazine.com, under the banner CHANNING TATUM'S SECRET STRIPPER PAST, posted a 1999 video of Tatum—billed as "Chan Crawford"—front and center on a Tampa stage, hoofing like a Backstreet Boy in heat, snogging some bachelorette in the front row, then peeling off his shirt, and finally, like an NBA sixth man yanking off his warm-ups, discarding his pants. "Thaaaat's right, ladies," barked the club's announcer. "Chan Crawford is here to pleeeease you!" Only a bulging jockstrap and a thin wall of dead presidents stood between the Sun Coast's horniest housewives and Chan's fantastic penis.

I think it's hil-larious," Tatum says convincingly. "I met some of the most insane characters." He hopes to do for male stripping what Boogie Nights did for the golden age of Valley porn. "I'm gonna make a movie about it. I've talked to a couple of directors." I ask Tatum if his handlers are happy about the prospect of his strapping on the ol' banana hammock again. "I don't care what they think," he answers quickly. "I'm happy I did it. I'm not proud, because it's not something to be proud of, but I had an experience that only one out of a thousand—a million—people can say they've ever had. I've been through this crazy sort of life, and I came out the other side fairly unscathed."

TATUM'S WIFE IS CURLED UP on the living-rooom sofa, studying lines for a film she begins shooting tomorrow. Jenna Dewan is teacup petite, pretty and pie-sweet, a former Texas high-school cheerleader who, like Tatum, started in showbiz as a dancer, touring with Janet Jackson and Christina Aguilera. "I didn't even hear you come home, babe," he purrs. "I didn't want to bother you guys," she purrs back.

After dinner options are discussed and takeout menus unsuccessfully searched for, Tatum phones in for Italian. (They've memorized the menu.) While we wait for the food, Dewan has Tatum show me pictures of the two of them playing Band Hero in their living room. Asked to describe a typical evening for one of young Hollywood's hottest couples, the Dewan-Tatums look at each other, nuzzle their dogs, point up to their flat-screen and launch into an impassioned and nuanced disquisition on the genius of Animal Planet's Meerkat Manor.

Plenty of public couples feign the role of homebodies, hoping to burnish their celebrities-are-just-like-us cred, but Tatum and Dewan aren't the sort of actors who can fake the part this convincingly. Tatum's no fool: He likes his life, enjoys the hillside home, the pool, the Escalade, the seven-figure, name-above-the-title leading roles. But he'll tell you without prodding that he doesn't much like living in Los Angeles. It's a necessary evil. He's moved his parents an hour south of here, and that helps some, but still, he may be the one person who, given the choice, would rather be in Tampa.

"L.A. sucks for going out," he spits, and for the first time I get a taste of the spring-loaded rage he brings to his best work. "Everything here is a 'lounge.' Everyone just sits around at a table, drinking a cocktail, looking at each other. There are no dance clubs. Back in Florida, I'm gonna go into a club, get drunk, get sweaty, dance, have a good time, and get a taxi home. There's no place here that does dancing like that." He rises, offers me a final beer from the fridge, then sits back down alongside Dewan. "I miss it, man. I miss it."

CTU.com Moving to a New Server

Dear CTU Reader,

It seems that we have out grown our hosting account. ChanningTatumUnwrapped.com has gotten so popular that we now need a bigger and better home to accommodate all of the visitors and traffic to the site.

Our hosting company just informed me that they are moving ChanningTatumUnwrapped.com to a new server this morning, so the site may not be accessible for the next 24 hours. If certain images on this blog are not visible, it is because of the server change.

This move is actually temporary, because I will be moving the site to a bigger and better home over the next month. Sorry for the inconvenience, but things should be back to normal soon.

In the end, this is a good problem to have. It means that you all like the site and visit often. I'm very grateful for the continued support!

RUMOR OR REEL?: Channing Tatum to Star in Steven Soderbergh's 'Knockout'

The Playlist is exclusively reporting that Channing Tatum has been cast in Steven Soderbergh's next movie. For those who don't know, Soderbergh has a huge laundry list of successful projects that includes films like Julia Roberts' award-winning drama Erin Brockovich, Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen. Here's what the site is reporting...

Alright, the final piece of the puzzle has arrived.

Channing Tatum has joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh's action-revenge spy thriller "Knockout" which will star Mixed Martial Arts champion and non-act0r Gina Carano in the lead role of a black ops spy that is betrayed by her team.

Meanwhile, a last minute addition to the cast is in the works. Antonio Banderas is in talks to join the cast playing the head of a Black-ops European unit.

On Thursday, we exclusively revealed that Michael Douglas, Dennis Quaid, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender ("Inglourious Basterds," "Hunger") had all joined the cast in supporting roles.

Tatum will play one of the elite specialists on Carano's team named Aaron — a military gearhead-type who's sent to try and bring her back in once she's been double-crossed and gone rogue; trying to figure out who exactly is setting her uhttp://channingtatumunwrapped.com/channingtatumblog/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=1623p. But there is no love lost between the characters which makes his mission more difficult. But we're told the role is actually relatively small in the scope of things.

While everyone is on the same side initially, "Knockout" features a lot of duplicity, double crosses and even reversals of allegiances. Fassbender plays an untrustworthy teammate, Douglas ultimately proves to be an ally and McGregor, the owner of the Blackwater-type special ops team (and once a romantic interest to the lead) is instrumental in trying to make Carano's character, Mallory Kane take the fall for an incident that goes wrong and involves a murder. Dennis Quaid plays her father...

...Tatum will likely shoot his role in two or three weeks and then be whisked off to start production on Dito Montiel's "Son of No One" starring Robert Deniro in March (if everything goes according to plan on that particular project). Montiel directed Tatum in the 2009 film, "Fighting" and "A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints."

David Holmes, the composer behind Soderbergh's "Oceans 11-13" series and "Out Of Sight" will be writing the score. It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with. Spy films aren't exactly known for their funky scores, that is unless he's going for a '70s Bond vibe (which would be pretty fresh).

Soderbergh is currently location scouting as we speak and Turkey is now officially off the locale plan due to poor tax incentives. The film will now be primarily shot in Barcelona, Dublin and New Mexico. The picture is set to start shooting in February and Lionsgate hopes to have the film in theaters for August. That seems fast, but the filmmaker is rather notorious for the speed in which he shoots and edits. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, making this date is definitely feasible.

If what The Playlist is reporting is true, then I want to say a BIG congrats to CHAN!! I haven't had a chance to confirm the story yet, but I did recently hear Chan mention that he may be filming another movie before 'Son of No One', which puts this report in the realm of possibility as far as I'm concerned.

Another rumor that recently hit the airwaves....

Although it was news to Chan yesterday at the 'Dear John' press junket, it was recently reported that writers (Zombieland’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick) have been hired for 'G.I. Joe 2'. So if the recent Collider.com report is true, the sequel to 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' may be yet another project that our busy bee will film in 2010 or 2011.

Finally, I was able to attend a press screening for Chan's movie 'Dear John', which hits theaters on February 5th. I will post a full review of the film and story about my day at the press junket on CTU closer to the release date.

But I do have to tell you that 'Dear John' is hands-down the most beautiful and heartfelt performance I've ever seen from Chan. I was a blubbering mess and could not have been more proud of what I saw. I really feel that you all are going to truly fall in love the film. Stay tuned, because I'll post more about 'Dear John' soon!

UPDATE (1/11/2010): Chan told me that the rumors are true. He will be working on 'Knockout' with Soderbergh, and he'll be filming in Barcelona in February. CONGRATS to Chan for landing another great role with such an accomplished director. His career continues to be on fire, and I think it couldn't happen to a better person!

Sony just redesigned the official site for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried's upcoming romantic drama 'Dear John'. The movie will hit theaters on February 5, 2010 and tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation.

‘Dear John‘ is based on a Nicholas Sparks book by the same name, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December 2008.

5 Year-Old Summer Moll Needs Our Help...

Last year I shared Summer Moll's heartbreaking and courageous story of loss and survival with you all. For those not familiar with the story...

A September 10, 2008 crash left four year-old Summer critically injured when she and her mom were hit by a woman driving the wrong way on the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway in the Tampa, Florida area with a 0.244 percent blood-alcohol level (nearly 3 times the legal limit). The driver faced multiple felony charges, including DUI-manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

In addition to losing her mother, Summer suffered a fractured skull and broken arms and legs. She has undergone countless surgeries, had casts on both arms, a brace on her neck, pins in her legs, and has endured painful rehabilitation to learn how to walk all over again. Summer's grandmother contacted me and wanted me to spread the word about Summer's latest battle, with hopes that someone in the CTU community may be able to help or may know someone who can...

"Summer's head wound is still refusing to close. We are asking for help to locate a specialty doctor to try and help. All remedies have been tried so far such as skin graphs, honey, and much more. The wound has been open since SEPTEMBER OF 2008. SO we are asking for any information on a specialty doctor that may be able to help come up with a solution to our problem. If your have any information or a suggestion please email summers_angels@yahoo.com. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Summer."

Summer began rehabilitation in December 2008 and finally left the hospital at the end of January 2009 after the September accident. Because of her extensive injuries, she has accumulated well-over $3 million worth of medical bills along the way. She still has a long road of recovery ahead of her, so I ask that everyone continue to keep this beautiful and strong little girl and her loving and supportive family in your prayers.

Sony just released exclusive new promotional stills of Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried in their upcoming romantic drama 'Dear John' via Yahoo Movies and Popeater.

In my previous post, you got to see some new pics of Channing Tatum on his way to the gym on Sunday. Thanks to a tweet from wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum we learned that the couple decided to run around Hollywood for exercise yesterday (Monday) and subsequently, are featured on People.com's Star Tracks today.

Thanks to JustJared.com we have new pics of Channing Tatum on his way to the gym on Sunday. There's a very good chance that Chan's getting ready for the 'Dear John' press tour that will start later this week.

Here's what Jared had to say about the sighting...

"Channing Tatum gets his exercise gear in order before working out near his place in L.A. on Sunday (January 3). The 29-year-old actor also sported five-finger shoes, which are made to promote balance and agility. Chan wore them last month to a business meeting, too! Chan will star in Dear John alongside Amanda Seyfried next month, but if you can’t wait until then, there are sneak peek screenings in L.A. later this week!"

I'll actually be in L.A. this weekend. As long as my schedule permits, I plan on attending the Friday or Saturday early screening of the movie. I'm so excited, because I really can't wait to see it! Hope to see some of you guys there!

We have another red letter day in Channing Tatum Unwrapped history, because exactly three years ago today, I posted the very first article on the CTU blog.

I'm a typical Type A Personality who's always reaching for the next goal, and I have this horrible habit of forgetting to appreciate what's been accomplished. This post (although long) is where I stop and remember how far CTU has come, so bare with me folks and take a little trip down memory lane.

Just in case you missed you it, here's a quick recap on what has happened at CTU in the last year, and in some cases, since the site started....

This year I posted 346 posts on CTU and on the blog (each) and an additional 56 posts on the new photo site. As always, I want to thank readers who have taken the time to send in photos, videos, information, and fan encounters. Your contributions have been invaluable and help make this site what it is. Over the past 3 years, I've written over 1,500 articles for CTU. Stay tuned, because I can promise there's more where they came from!!!

Fans from all over the world hang out on the CTU CBox all hours of the day and night. You all have continued to use the chat box to make friends, stay connected, and gossip about your lives, Channing, Jenna, and almost anything else you can imagine. Amazingly, the CBox has been viewed 3,016,072 times in the past three years and averages 598 posts per day.

I launched the new social networking site CTU Connect in 2009 and the new Channing Tatum Unwrapped Photo Gallery this past September. The gallery has already had over 43,514 visitors and over 167,783 pageviews. In addition to viewing photo collections, the new site also has articles that give additional detail about the photos added to the gallery.

Videos and Favorites: 239
The Channing Tatum Unwrapped YouTube Video Channel has continued to grow a ton this year thanks to fans, films, Chan and Jenna. The channel (which has been viewed over 172,408 times) went from 1,638 to 3,035 subscribers and from 867 to 1250 friends in 2009. Incredibly, fans have viewed our 119 videos over 16,130,575 times in the past three years!!

Contest Winners:
One of the things I love to do on CTU is give away prizes to the readers. We continued to have different contests each month where readers around the world have won free Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum DVD's and autographed photos and magazine articles. We continued to have our Biggest Fan Contest, Birthday Program, and CTU Fan Club in 2009 and chose numerous Fabulous Fan Spotlighters who won custom Channing Tatum calendars. 2010 is already shoring up to be another banner year here at CTU, because I'm working really closely with the publicity team at Sony for Chan's next movie 'Dear John' (which releases February 5th). We have some really cool things in the works that will bring another slew of firsts for CTU. REMINDER: Casting Call for Channing Tatum’s ‘Son of No One’ is TODAY!!!

I just wanted to remind everyone that the open casting call for Chan's movie 'Son of No One' is TODAY!!

For those who don't know, 'Son of No One' will be directed by Dito Montiel (i.e. the director of Chan's past and future films 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints', 'Fighting', and 'Brotherhood of the Rose') and will start filming in New York City in March 2010. The crime thriller will be released some time in 2011.

The production is holding an open call for boys and girls of any race today in New York City. They are looking for boys to play 15 year old versions of Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard. 'Son of No One' is also looking for girls who look like they're 15.

In case you're wondering what Chan looked like around the age of 15, you can check out a CTU exclusive yearbook photo of the actor when he was a sophomore at Gaither High School in Florida in 1995.

The open call will take place TODAY at 520 8th Avenue in Manhattan on the 16th floor between 3 and 7pm, and no head shots are necessary. You can CLICK HERE for directions.

They prefer non-union actors, so no experience is necessary. Only attend the open call if you can pass for 15 years old, and minors MUST bring a parent or legal guardian with them to the casting call.

Principal actor casting for 'Son of No One' is handled by Amanda Mackey Johnson of Mackey/Sandrich Casting, which is located at 3000 W. Olympic Blvd. Bldg. 3, Room 2323 in Santa Monica, CA.

'Son of No One' will film in New York City, Toronto, and Detroit and is about a young cop named Jonathan White (played Channing Tatum) who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family. Here's the full synopsis for the film...

"Jonathan White had a rough childhood. His father, a cop, was killed in the line of duty, and Jonathan was raised by his grandmother in the Queensbridge Projects in Queens, NY. He had a lot of friends, and he was the only white kid, so they called him Milk. Milk and his closest friends were going to start a hardcore punk band and become stars like their favorite band, MDC (Millions of Dead Cops). But fate intervened. Milk and his friends were always hassled by a couple of neighborhood junkies, until one day Milk had enough and killed one of the junkies.

Later, they were forced to kill the second junkie to avoid being caught. But the police knew more than they publicly let on. Detective Stanford (Robert De Niro) approaches young Milk and tells him he doesn't have to worry about getting caught. His dad was Stanford's partner, which makes them like family. Sixteen years later, Jonathan lives in Long Island with his wife Kerry White, and their beautiful daughter. Like his father, Jonathan is a cop, assigned to the Queensbridge projects where he grew up. 9/11 has caused the neighborhood to change, and real estate developers work closely with the police on a project called "Quality of Life", an effort to rid the neighborhood of junkies and homeless people.

For Jonathan, the changes become personal when a rabble-rousing newspaper publishes a letter from an unnamed source, which describes the details of sixteen-year old murders that were never solved because the police didn't care. Jonathan's world is thrown into a tailspin as the letters continue and Sergeant Mathers (James Gandolfini) asks him to give the newspaper editor a visit. The editor, an aging hippie named Roger Daltry, is determined to find out more about the unsolved murders.

Jonathan researches his old friends to see if they're behind the letters. Many are dead, or have been relocated due to the Quality of Life project. He's pretty sure the culprit is Vinny (Terrence Howard), his closest friend. Vinny had a troubled upbringing, and he and Jonathan shared many secrets. Vinny spent some time in jail, and still lives at home with his mom. Jonathan's paranoia intensifies when he finds his work locker unlocked, with a copy of the newspaper inside. In the newspaper is a brand new letter about the murders. Kerry begins receiving threatening phone calls, and Mathers pressures him to silence Daltry. Jonathan confronts his old friend, but can't be sure if he has anything to do with the letters."

Fans have told me that they are flying in and taking 5 hour bus trips to get to the casting call, so I truly want to say GOOD LUCK to everyone who's planning on attending the casting today!!!
